About the Job

We are looking for a passionate Sports Content Writer with expertise in football and sports betting to create engaging, high-quality, and SEO-optimized content for our German-speaking portals. In this role, you will work closely with our content quality team, conducting in-depth research and producing compelling written pieces that resonate with our audience. The ideal candidate is a native German speaker with at least 5 years of content writing experience, including 3 years specifically in sportsbook content. A deep understanding of football - from leagues and tournaments to betting markets—is essential. If you are a sports betting journalist or a dedicated football writer with strong SEO skills, this could be a great fit for you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Conduct thorough research on football and sports betting topics, ensuring content relevance, accuracy, and SEO performance.
• Write engaging and insightful football-focused sports betting articles, previews, analysis, and guides that captivate readers.
• Produce timely and well-researched sports betting news articles.
• Collaborate with content quality specialists to maintain the highest editorial standards.
• Improve and update existing content to ensure it remains fresh, accurate, and competitive.
• Utilize various writing and research tools to enhance content quality and efficiency.

What Would Make You a Great Fit

• 5 years of content writing experience, including at least 3 years in sportsbook content (essential).
• Native German speaker with a solid grasp of English for seamless communication.
• Strong understanding of football, sports betting markets, and betting strategies.
• Experience in writing long-form content, match previews, betting guides, and in-depth analysis.
• SEO expertise, with the ability to create content that performs well on digital platforms.
• Familiarity with WordPress is a plus.
• Background in sports journalism or experience as a sports betting journalist is highly valued.
