About the job 

This is a hands-on role at the crossroads of backlink strategy and domain protection. As our Off-Page SEO Specialist, you’ll play a critical part in safeguarding the integrity of our link profiles while building domain authority through white-hat outreach. You’ll work across several brands within the iGaming and sports betting niches, taking full ownership of off-page SEO tactics.

Your main mission? Eliminate harmful backlinks, secure high-quality ones, and future-proof our off-page strategy through sustainable, relationship-driven link-building. You’ll collaborate with content and SEO to ensure we maintain clean, powerful backlink profiles that perform long-term.

What you will be doing

       Backlink Health & Spam Protection:

• Monitor backlink profiles using tools like Ahrefs, Google Search Console, SEMrush
• Detect and disavow toxic/spammy links, defending against negative SEO attacks
• Stay current on link-based algorithm updates and evolving black-hat tactics
  
  Link Acquisition & Outreach:
• Identify and secure relevant, high-quality backlinks from reputable, niche-aligned websites
• Execute strategic outreach (guest posts, partnerships, digital PR) using white-hat methods
• Build and maintain relationships with editors, publishers, and webmasters
  
  Strategy & Reporting:
• Work with SEO and content teams to align off-page efforts with broader SEO goals
• Perform competitor backlink audits to uncover new link opportunities
• Produce clear monthly reports with backlink KPIs, health status, and campaign performance

What would make you a great fit?  

• 3+ years of experience in off-page SEO or link-building
• Deep knowledge of Google’s Link Guidelines and potential manual penalties
• Confident with link auditing and managing disavow files
• Proficiency with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, Majestic, Screaming Frog
• Ability to assess link value beyond metrics like DA/DR (think: relevance, traffic, context)
• Fluent in both English and German (spoken and written)
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-driven
• Bonus points: Experience in iGaming, sports betting content, or affiliate SEO
